It has been such a great week. I feel like I've been really lucky with my practica placements. The staff members are all friendly, all the parents I've met so far are friendly, students are sweet and they like me :) One student already told me I should stay and teach in the school! That would be a dream come true.
This week there were teacher meetings, getting to know you activities with the students, and we completed our first collaborative art project (class puzzle.) I also had to rap - something I was hoping I would never have to do again after a traumatic experience in Gr.8. However, it wasn't so bad and everyone enjoyed the performance. There were a few videos recorded but I hope I never see it.
One of the parents I met today told me that she has heard a lot about me already. It's nice to hear that the girls like having me as one of their teachers.
My planning continues. I will be integrating Science and Language Arts together for the most part in teaching the Structures unit as well as working on our Architecture project (my inquiry project for PSIII.)
